VCP5 Exam Experience.

Today, I passed the VMware VCP-510 exam at The Academy in Eindhoven and here are my thoughts about this exam. The exam consists of 85 questions, mostly multiple-choice and some with an exhibit. No simulations. You’ll get 90 minutes to answer the questions and additional 30 minutes if you are not a native English speaker. Anyway, I think the VCP-510 exam is quite fair. The exam blueprint covers all topics. The questions are different as on the VCP3/4 exam, to pass this exam you need at least some hands-on experience. Be aware of the “sneaky” questions and check the grammar of the question (especially if you are not an English speaker). Read the question twice and make sure you understand what is asked.

If I can give you some advice, make sure you know everything about “what’s new” in vSphere 5 and concentrate on the product documentation PDF’s from VMware, especially the sections that describe the requirements, restrictions, capabilities and limitations of vSphere 5 features. To study for this exam I used the following:

Good luck!

Cheers!
