What’s New in VMware vSphere 5.1?

Today VMware announced the release of vSphere 5.1. At the general session at VMworld 2012 VMware also announced that the vRAM licensing is gone. vSphere 5.1 will be licensed per CPU/Socket like in the pre-vSphere 5.0 era. This new release contains the following new features and enhancements, I must say, it looks awesome. Some of the new features will make our work a lot easier.

Compute

Storage

Network

Availability

Security

Automation

Management (with vCenter Server)

Cheers!
